Community Development Manager

A community development manager oversees local events and establishes relationships with community members to promote company visibility and economic growth.

Primary

  • Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth
  • Identify, plan, and implement new target market initiatives
  • Identify prospective users in target markets
  • Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle
  • Developing quotation and proposals for prospective clients
  • Organizing and attending conferences, community and industry events
  • Building relationship with community key personals and engage with them on the business initiatives
  • Recognize and develop brand influencers and community ambassadors
  • Meeting with business partners and developing new prospective associates and partners

Secondary

  • Setting targets for the business development team and developing strategies to meet those targets
  • Training business development staff

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in any stream
  • Master’s degree/ Diploma in management or social science will be an added advantage

Experience

  • 2-5 years of the niche merchant on-boarding experience in UK market
  • Understanding of forex, remittance and international fund transfer requirements and experience will be an added advantage.

Key Skills

  • Communication skills: Community development managers must be able to communicate with clients of all backgrounds and educational levels. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are must-have.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Hindi is must. Urdu and/ or any other Indian/ Asian language will be an added advantage.
  • Organizational skills: Multi-tasking – The right candidate be comfortable working numerous clients, on- and off-site meetings, deadlines tasks on track.
  • Time-management skills: Community development managers must understand how to prioritize their time, managing a calendar and adjusting their schedule as needed.
